Genevieve Snyder, 97, formerly of Connersville, passed away Monday, February 6, 2017, at the Bloom at German Church Assisted Living in Indianapolis.
A daughter of Henry and Lillian Johnson Snyder, Genevieve was born on January 24, 1920, in Connersville.
She worked as a secretary in the office of Henry Ford in Detroit, Michigan and as a court recorder for the state of Michigan, retiring in 1985.
Genevieve was an avid golfer, president of the Homeowners Association and active in two bowling leagues until age 92. She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Indianapolis.
Survivors include her siblings, John W. Snyder of Connersville, Norman (Dorothy) Snyder of Rush County, Indiana, Charlotte Raby of Modoc, Indiana, Ruth Ross of Cambridge City, Indiana, Dorothy (Ronald) King of Woodbury, Minnesota, James Snyder of Connersville; brother-in-law, Ken Morgan of Indianapolis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Jane Back, Rose Ann Morgan, Catherine Phelps; a brother, Edwin Snyder.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 noon on Saturday, February 11, 2017, at St. Gabriel Catholic Church. Reverend Dustin Boehm will officiate. Burial will follow at Dale Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 10, 2017 at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home where the Chaplet of Divine Mercy will be recited at 4:30 p.m.
