Hallie Mae (Wells) FrazierDecember 5, 1921 ~ October 21, 2017 (age 95)
Hallie Mae Frazier, 95, of Connersville passed away Saturday morning, October 21, 2017 at Caroleton Manor where she had been a resident since August.
She was born December 5, 1921 in Cincinnati, Ohio, one of two children of Benjamin and Marie Sherwood Wells and moved to Indianapolis with her family when she was at the age of 2. Hallie Mae was a graduate of Crispus Attucks High School and attended Butler University for several years.
In 1947, she was married to Lewis Frazier of Rushville and they came to Connersville for residence in 1948. Mr. Frazier died in 1971.
Hallie Mae was employed at Roots-Connersville Blower beginning in 1967 until her retirement in 1976.
A devoted member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church where she served on it’s Usher Board, sang in the choir and was Church Secretary.
Survivors include several cousins with whom she was raised with, Lois Barnes, of Loveland, OH, Marcella Mooney, of Lawrenceville, GA and Reanea Keels, of Cincinnati, OH ; a niece, Deana Gregory, of Indianapolis, IN, Juanita Johnson of Cincinnati, OH; five great nephews, Harold "Rodney" (Jennifer) Easley, of Connersville, Bobby (Donna) Easley, of Tampa, FL, Burt Wells of Cincinnati, OH; Jeffrey (Beverly) Easley, of Indianapolis, Stanley Easley, of Tampa, FL and Jonathan Easley, of California; six great-great nieces, Lasandra Easley, of California, Anya Easley, of Connersville, Megan Easley, of Indianapolis, IN, Chaia Flores, of California, Tasha Mills, of Connersville, Ticee Cox, of Kentucky and Andreena Jones And Kimberly Gomillion; five great-great nephews, Jason Easley, of Connersville, Royce Easley, Bentley Easley, Robert "Bobby D." Easley all of Florida and Derrick Gibson, of Connersville; she also is survived by a number of great-great-great nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her husband Lewis Frazier, she is preceded in death by her brother, Jimmie Williams; nieces: Emma Ratcliff and Marie Easley.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM, Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Pastor Jerome Weaver officiating. Burial will be in Dale Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 12 PM (Noon) until 2 PM Saturday and anytime online at millermosterrobbins.com.
