Harold A. Hudson, 83, of Connersville, passed away Friday morning, March 13, 2009 in the Intensive Care Unit at Fayette Regional Health System, where he had been admitted earlier that day. He had been in failing health for the last month.

He was born November 7, 1925 in New Boston, Ohio, one of seven children of Richard L. & Susie R. Dooley Hudson.

A veteran of the U. S. Army, he served during the Korean War and was honorably discharged.

On December 21, 1953, he was married to Mary E. McHenry in Indianapolis, Indiana. Mrs. Hudson died January 12, 2009.

He had assisted his wife in founding and pastoring for over 30 years the Church of God of Prophecy in Connersville, first located on Summitt Avenue, later relocating to Springersville Road and in recent years on Waterloo Road. Along with his wife, he was devoted to shepherding the congregation and proclaiming the Word of God.

Survivors include a daughter, Sonya L. Hudson and companion, H.J. Riddell of Connersville; a son, Richard R. Hudson and wife, Wendy of Tampa, Florida; four grandchildren, Crystal B. Kredit of Shelbyville, IN, Nicholas A. Hudson, of Connersville, Ryan Hudson and Elizabeth N. Hudson both of Tampa, FL; three great-grandchildren, Austin Kredit, Ethan Kredit and Cameron Kredit all of Shelbyville, IN; a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides his wife of 55 years, he is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Tuesday, March 17, 2009 in Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Hunsinger officiating. Burial with military rites will be in the Dayton National Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 until 8 PM Monday.
