John N. Glaub, 91, of Connersville passed away Sunday morning, June 11, 2017 at Arbor Trace Health and Living in Richmond.
A son of John and Gladys Linn Glaub, John was born on September 22, 1925 in Brookville, Indiana.
He attended school in Blooming Grove and worked as an automobile serviceman at the local service station. In 1943, John enlisted with the United States Army and served his country overseas in the Pacific Theater during World War II.
On June 20, 1952, John married the former Bernice L. Bean in Columbia Township. Mrs. Glaub passed away on February 4, 2005.
Never knowing a stranger, John worked at E. W. Brockman Company and Wal-Mart in Connersville. He was an avid collector of coins and model cars.
Survivors include his grandson, Jared M. (Desiree) Glaub of Connersville; great-granddaughters, Taegan and Kyndal Glaub of Connserville; several nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his parents; wife of over 54 years, Bernice Glaub; infant son, Ricky Lee Glaub in 1960; a daughter, Marla Jo Smith in 2016.
Family and friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home. Reverend Malcolm Greene will officiate. Burial with military honors provided by the Fayette County Veterans Council will follow at Dale Cemetery.
