Mark Lewis 61, of Connersville, Indiana.

Mark’s journey here on earth began on May 10, 1956 and Mark’s eternal heavenly journey began on June 16, 2017.

Mark fought a courageous battle against pancreatic cancer for a year.

He was the son of the late Betty (Gene) Binder and the late Elvin Lewis.

On October 18, 1991 Mark married the former Connie Black of Cambridge City. On December 17, 1992 , Mark and Connie were blessed with their son Kaleb who is Mark’s pride and joy and very best friend. Mark enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing and corn hole.

In addition to his wife, Connie and son, Kaleb, he is survived by Kaleb’s fiancee’ Rita (Squirt) Schuck ; three siblings: Lorrie (Jim) Bell; John "Sam" Tripoli and companion, Angie McIntosh; Lisa Tipoli; two step brothers; Bob & Barry Binder; mother-in-law, Helen Black; sister-in-law, Cathy (Phil) Shank; brother-in-laws: Jack (Terry) Black, Johnie Black, Jeff (Traci) Black, Jay (Mary Beth) Black, Joe (Julie) Black, James (Angie) Black; several nieces, nephews and cousins; Very special friends: Chuck & Ann Logan, John & Darlene Byrd, Jim Bell, Sam Tripoli, Alecia Baker, Mike Vanover, Mark Walker, Bob & Chris Cavins. Mark loved all his family, church family and friends.

Mark was saved January 13, 2003 and attended New Life Baptist Church in Boston, Indiana.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Betty Binder and Elvin Lewis, step father, Gene Binder; father-in-law, Johnie Black; grandparents, Samuel & Flossie Dunn; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at Miller Moster Robbins Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Sellers, officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Cambridge City, Indiana. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 PM Tuesday, June 20, 2017 or anytime online at millermosterrobbins.com
