Troy "Homey" MetcalfJanuary 22, 1963 ~ November 24, 2017 (age 54)
Troy “Homey” Metcalf, 54, of Connersville passed away unexpectedly Friday, November 24, 2017, at Fayette Regional Health System. Under a physician’s care, he had been in failing health for the past year.
The oldest of two sons of John C. and Imogene Harrison Metcalf, Troy was born on January 22, 1963, in Batesville, Indiana.
Troy attended Franklin County High School and Whitewater Technical Career Center. He was employed for over seven years as a line inspector at Ryobi in Shelbyville, Indiana and he had been employed at Galvamet Industries in Shelbyville. For over 20 years, Troy worked during the summers at Whitewater Canoe Rentals in Brookville, Indiana.
In his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing and woodworking, especially making birdhouses.
Survivors include his life-partner for over twenty-five years, Debbie Wyatt-Rogers of Connersville; a son, Brad Rogers (fiancé, Salee Brewer) of Connersville; four grandchildren, Hannah Rogers, Makynna Ferguson, L.T. Ferguson and Roman Sexton; brother, Steve Metcalf of Blooming Grove, Indiana; mother-in-law, Alice Louise Wyatt of Connersville; sister-in-law, Dallas (Jim) Holmes of Connersville; a number of aunts, uncles and cousins; three dear friends, Corbin, James and Josh; and a daughter, Sarah Metcalf of Oxford, Ohio.
Troy was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Dustin Rogers; grandparents, Lincoln and Bernice Harrison, Bud and Ursula Metcalf; an infant brother, Charles Metcalf; father-in-law, Raymond C. Wyatt; aunts and uncles.
Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 30, 2017, at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Brookville.
