Denver Lee Carlin, Jr.

Denver Lee Carlin, Jr., 25, of Roseville, Michigan, a native of Connersville, passed away February 16, 2013 at his residence.

He was born March 20, 1987 in Connersville, the son of Denver Lee Carlin and Nancy (Sweeney) Plemons, and he attended Alquina Elementary and Connersville High School.

On June 26, 2010, he was married in Connersville to Debra Inscho and she survives.

He was employed by P & P Landscaping in Roseville, Michigan. He enjoyed outdoor activities, fishing, horseshoe, cornhole and pool playing; he was also an avid bowler – but, most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his two cherished children.

Besides his beloved wife Debra, he is survived by two children, Andrew & Hannah Carlin, his mother, Nancy Plemons and her husband David of Liberty, Indiana, two grandfathers, Don Dawson and Junior Lykins and his wife Elaine, both of Connersville, his grandmother, Maria Kirkendall of Liberty, his brother, Donald Carlin and his fiancé Amanda Davis of Richmond, Indiana, two sisters, Maria Hartbarger and her husband James and Desirae Powers and her husband Shawn, both of Liberty, a special uncle, Jerry Chasteen and his wife Barb of Wisconsin, nieces and nephews, Braiden, Paige, Mason and Marissa, and several other uncles, aunts and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Denver Carlin, a grandmother, Eleanor "Kay" Dawson, and a cousin, Tony Green.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 AM Wednesday, February 27, 2013, at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home, Rev. Rod Barbee, officiating; burial will be in Brownsville Christian Union Cemetery – visitation will be held at the Funeral Home from 4 until 8 PM Tuesday; family and friends may also access online anytime at

So sorry to hear about DJ. Some of my best memories of childhood were times spent with Donnie and DJ. What I remember most about DJ is that he was fearless, innocent, and a friend to all. We lost touch when I moved away but I will never forget the fun times we all had. I'm sorry for your loss.
