Obituary:
Adam Feltner, 67, of Connersville, died Wednesday morning, December 23, 2009, at McCollough Hyde Hospital, in Oxford, Ohio, where he had been a patient for two days. He had been in failing health for several months. He was born January 21, 1942 in Hazard, Kentucky, one of eight children of Abel and Maude Browning Feltner. A veteran of the US. Army, he served in the Vietnam War and was later stationed in Korea, prior to his honorable discharge. For most of his adult life he was self employed as a carpet installer and flooring specialist and worked throughout the United States. During his leisure he enjoyed working in the garden. An avid horseman, for years he owned and trained his own horses. Survivors include four sisters: Ruth Rowekamp and husband, Harold, of Connersville, Eva Madden of Hazard, Kentucky, Mollie Rozahn of Troy , Ohio and Polly Lauterbach of Columbus, Ohio; one brother, Ralph Feltner of Hazard, Kentucky; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Shelby Combs; and a brother, Clarence Feltner. At the request of the family, no public services will be held at this time. A memorial service may be held for Adam later in Hazard, Kentucky, where his remains will be laid to rest. Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home is handling the funeral arrangements.
