Lola Hobbs, 92, of Connersville passed away Sunday morning, January 3, 2010 at Lincoln Center East where she had been a resident since 2008.
She was born March 27, 1917 in Jackson County, Kentucky, one of nine children of William and Rachel Harrison Hobbs.
On June 5, 1933, she was married to Herman Hobbs of McKee, KY. Mr. Hobbs died March 12, 1977. Following Mr. Hobbs death, she moved to Connersville to be near her family.
She was a member of the Pentecostal Church and was a devoted homemaker where she enjoyed sewing, cooking, canning and spending time with her family.
Survivors include two sons, Everett E. Hobbs and Eldon C. Hobbs and wife, Winnie Faye, all of Connersville; eight grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchildren; a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her husband, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Nina B. Hobbs; a son, Dever Hobbs; four brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at Justice Memorial Funeral Home, McKee, KY, where friends may call from 6 until 10 PM on Tuesday. Burial will be in Hobson-Moore Cemetery, Jackson County, KY.
