Obituary:
Edward E. Huth, 79, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2009 at his residence after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. He was born November 22, 1930 in Napoleon, Indiana, one of six children of Henry and Thelma Kreinhop Huth. At the age of 17, he enlisted with the United States Marine Corps and served in the Korean War, where he fought in the famous Battle of Chosin Reservoir. Upon completing his military service, he received an honorable discharge and returned to Indiana for residence. He worked at various jobs in Indianapolis and New Castle and later worked at the Connersville Casket Company until their closing. He then became employed at Design and Manufacturing in Connersville and retired from their successor’s, White Consolidated Industries. On January 28, 1956, he was married in Connersville to Marilyn E. Winters. Mrs. Huth died December 22, 1999. He had been a member of the American Legion, Post #1 in Connersville. During his leisure he enjoyed cooking, was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with his family. He was especially proud of his children and grandchildren. Survivors include: two children, Michael E. Huth and wife, Patricia, of Rehoboth, Delaware and Lisa Rust and husband, Wayne of Colorado Springs, Colorado; two grandchildren: Allison Rust and Lauren Rust, both of Colorado Springs, Colorado; two brothers: Robert Huth of New Castle, Indiana; and Charles Huth of Florida; a sister: Dorothy Moore of Florida; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Pete and Peg Patton of Connersville; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his wife, Marilyn E. Huth, he is preceded in death by his parents; a brother Henry George Huth Jr.; and an infant sister, Deborah Sue Huth. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Thursday, February 11, 2010 at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home, with Reverend Mal Gibson, pastor of First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Dale Cemetery, with military rites provided by the Fayette County Veteran’s Council Honor Guard. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 until 8 PM on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the funeral home to the Marilyn E. Huth Nursing Scholarship with the Fayette County Foundation.
