Obituary:
John “Bo” Combs Jr., 48, of Laurel, died unexpectedly Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at his home. He was born April 29, 1961 in Oneida, Kentucky, one of six children of John and Sally Belle Burns Combs. He moved to Laurel with his family in 1964 at the age of three and had lived in Laurel since that time, attending the Laurel Public Schools. He had been formerly employed by Ford Refrigeration and Electronics in Connersville, did masonry work with Gilbert Rea, Chomel & Son’s Roofing and had worked at Rayburn’s sawmill in Laurel. Most recently he had been employed by Gecom in Greensburg, Indiana. During his leisure he enjoyed watching football and spending time with his family and was a wonderful, loving grandfather. Survivors include a son, John Brandon Combs of Connersville; a daughter, Brandi Combs of Greensburg; a granddaughter, Madison Leeann Fern Combs; three brothers: Clarence Combs and wife, Teresa of Connersville, Gary Combs and wife, Debra of Laurel, and Mark Combs and wife, Sharon of Laurel; two sisters: Kathy Allen and husband, Bud of Laurel, Monda Combs of Laurel; and a number of nieces, nephews; and a very special friend, Bob Harvey. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 PM Saturday, March 6, 2010 in Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home, where friends may call from 1-3 PM on Saturday. Burial will be in Laurel North Cemetery. Friends may also visit the funeral home website at www.millermosterrobbins.com to sign an online guest book and to send condolences to the family.
