Amy L. Perry, 55, of Connersville, passed away unexpectedly Monday morning, May 14, 2018, at her residence.
One of three children of Robert and Freida Chaney Perry, Amy was born on October 6, 1962, in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. She grew up in the country near Bonners Ferry until moving to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho with her parents in 1976.
Amy was a patient of Shriners Hospital in Spokane, Washington and even though she wore a cumbersome back brace, she was active and participated in all school events and activities. She attended Naples Grade School in Naples, Idaho, and graduated from Coeur d'Alene High School in 1980.
Amy moved to Indiana in 1999 to be near family members she had not seen much as a child. Amy was a member of Higher Praise Worship Center, and although she never had any children, she cherished her beloved pets, especially her cockatiel, Daisy, and her many parakeets.
Survivors include her father, Robert Perry and step-mother, Beverly, both of Spokane Valley, Washington; brothers, Bobby (Roberta) Perry of Gaston, Oregon and Danny (Valerie) Perry of Cheney, Washington; two aunts, Ollie (Charlie) Spaloch and Della Chaney Alcorn of Connersville; an uncle, Bennie, Jr. (Lillian) Perry of Washington; nieces and nephews, Jeff and Hannah Perry, Jacob and Angela Perry, Ben and Cori Perry, all of Oregon, Shayla Perry Jones of Port Orchard, Washington, and Ethan Perry of Eugene, Oregon; several great-nieces and great-nephews; caregivers, Karen Alcorn (Jud) Williamson and Caleb Jones; special cousin, Jayme Lanae Williamson; Amy’s former exchange student, Edo Witteveen of Smilde, Netherlands whom she cared for very much; many cousins and friends whom she loved dearly.
Amy was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Freida Chaney Perry; Amy’s love of her life, Skip Archey; grandparents, Bennie and Minnie Perry, Jesse Chaney and Elizabeth Fox Chaney Wells, and Noah Wells.
A memorial service will be conducted at a later date. Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
