Carol Ann (Sturwold) Fox

May 28, 1944 ~ June 24, 2019 (age 75)

Carol Ann Fox, 75, of Connersville, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, June 24, 2019, at Reid Health in Richmond.

The oldest of two children of William and Eleanor (Wilker) Sturwold, Carol was born in Connersville on May 28, 1944.  She graduated from Connersville High School with the class of 1962.

On June 28, 1964, Carol married the love of her life, Harold W. Fox in Trinity Episcopal Church. The two met on the school bus and lived and loved for nearly 55 years. Mr. Fox survives.

For many years, Carol was employed as office manager for Dr. Nesbitt, and was also assistant administrator for Caroleton Manor for 23 years until her retirement in 2006.  She had previously been employed at Philco-Ford and Fayette Memorial Hospital.

Carol was a faithful member of Community Bible Church in Milton where she enjoyed being a part of the Bible study group and volunteering her time.  She and Harold embraced hospitality as part of their ministry, serving the people and spreading the love of Jesus during the church fellowships and special events. She also was a member of the 4-H judging panel for several open classes.  Famous for her Christmas cookies, the holiday season was filled with orders every year including one of 300 dozen to support a young man's trip overseas. Carol enjoyed many facets of domestic life including quilting, crocheting, hosting family gatherings, and spending time with her family.

Besides her husband of almost 55 years, Harold W. Fox, survivors include two children, Heather J. Fox, of Indianapolis and David R. (Tina) Fox, of Cincinnati; her exchange student daughter, Malin Serner, of Stockholm, Sweden; two grandchildren, John (Amy Holliday) Fox, of Connersville and Amy (Chris) Thompson, of Winchester, Indiana; four great-grandchildren, Riley Fox, Landon Thompson, Kenndi Thompson and Ember Bridgford; her brother, Robert C. (Laurie) Sturwold, of Clinton, Connecticut; several nieces and nephews, and a host of other family members and friends. Carol was preceded in death by her parents.

Family and friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the time of memorial service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2019, at Community Bible Church, 4141 Nickel Plate Road, Milton, Indiana 47357.  Pastor Jim Matson will officiate.  Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
