Frances Ruth Hensley, 82, of West College Corner, Indiana, went home to be with her Lord Jesus on March 11, 2018, at Whitewater Commons, Liberty, Indiana.
The only child of the late Robert and Gladys Durham, Frances was born on April 2, 1935, in Harlan County, Kentucky.
On April 28, 1952, she married Joe Hensley in Totz, Kentucky and they moved to Indiana in the mid 1950’s. Mr. Hensley survives.
Frances faithfully served as a pastor’s wife at three different churches. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and having everyone present at Sunday dinners she would prepare. Frances touched many lives in her family and community. Ever faithful, she frequently prayed “Have Your Way, Lord.”
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Joe Hensley; four sons, Bob Hensley of College Corner, Ohio, Bill (Kathy) Hensley of Liberty, Brian Hensley and Britt Hensley, both of West College Corner, Indiana; a daughter, Johanna (Steve) Smith of West College Corner, Indiana; ten grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
The Hensley family would like to thank Darrell and Donna Thomas for taking the time to feed their momma supper every Wednesday for the past seven years.
Friends may call from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 15, 2018, at Trinity Holiness Church, 202 Indiana Street, West College Corner, Indiana 47003. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 16, 2018, at the church. Pastor Doug Murray will officiate. Burial will follow in College Corner Cemetery. Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home, Connersville has been entrusted with the arrangements.
