Jane Audrey Ware, 87, of Connersville passed away Sunday morning, June 3, 2018, at her home.

One of seven children of Charles Richard Hunt and Blanche East Hunt McKay, Jane was born in Oxford, Ohio on March 22, 1931.

Jane graduated from Talawanda High School in Oxford with the class of 1949 and attended Miami University.  She was a member of New Life United Methodist Church and Grand Worthy Matron of the Prince Hall Grand Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star.  She also was Worthy Matron for the Fayette and Richmond Chapters.  Jane was instrumental in the establishment of the Fayette County Chapter of the NAACP, and was a member of American Legion Post #1 Auxiliary, and Rushville Elks Lodge #1307.  In her leisure time, she enjoyed traveling, reading, and spending time with her family.

On December 2, 1950, Jane married Curtis David Ware in Connersville.  Mr. Ware survives.  For over 33 years, Jane was employed as a secretary at Visteon of Connersville.

Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Curtis Ware; three children, Bradley Richard Ware, M.D. of Alexandria, Virginia, Valarie Jane Ware of Whitestown, Indiana, Curtis David Ware, Jr. of Connersville; four grandchildren, David Bradley Ware, Niki (Robert) Ridley, Nicholas Eugene Ware, Curtis Richard Ware; four great-grandchildren, Kenya C. Ware, Raven Bradley Ware, Catherine Hope Ridley, Keith D. Ridley; five sisters, Geraldine Fergason, Ruth Harris, Patricia Bickerstaff, Wanda Potter, Tobey Ann McKay; and a brother, Marvin Hunt.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 9, 2018, at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home.  Reverend Richard Ware will officiate.  Burial will follow in Woodside Cemetery, Oxford, Ohio.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, June 8, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the Order of the Eastern Star service at 7:00 p.m.
