John Patrick Cooley, 43, formerly of Connersville passed away Friday morning, July 19, 2019, at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, Indiana. John had been a resident of Fort Wayne for the past two years.
He was born December 5, 1975, in Connersville, one of three sons of Charles “Jerry” Gerald and Jane Lynn Ingermann Cooley.
John was a 1995 graduate of Connersville High School.
For over nine years, he was employed with the Landmark Center of Connersville.
A faithful member of St. Gabriel Church, John enjoyed bowling, participating in Special Olympics and was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds and the Indiana Pacers.
Survivors include his mother, Jane Cooley, of Connersville; his brother, Tom (Alice) Cooley, of Connersville; three nephews, Zach, Jordan, and Xavier Cooley; a niece, Hannah Cooley; his uncle, Jim (Jean) Ingermann, of Palm Coast, Florida. John is blessed with many cousins.
He is preceded in death by his father, an infant brother, Timothy Cooley; paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Olivia Cooley and maternal grandparents, Warren “Bing” and Mary Ingermann.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, July 24, 2019, at St. Gabriel Church with Reverend Dustin Boehm officiating. Burial will follow at Dale Cemetery. Friends may call at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home from 5 until 7 PM on Tuesday where the Rosary will be recited at 4:30 PM that evening. Memorial contributions may be made to the Beacon of Hope Fund at St. Gabriel Church or the charity of the donor’s choice.
