Larry Duane Adams, 78, of Connersville, passed away surrounded by his loving family at his home on Sunday, August 4, 2109
A life-long resident of Connersville, he was born April 22, 1941, one of two children of Ray M. and Fern Phillips Adams and was a graduate of Connersville High School with the class of 1959.
On November 27, 1970, Larry married the former Reva Sue Adams in Jellico, Tennessee. Mrs. Adams survives.
Larry was employed at Philco-Ford for many years and as a residential and commercial contractor and for several years. He owned and operated Adams Construction and helped establish the Ray Love addition in Everton. Larry retired in 2010.
Larry was a faithful member of Community Gospel Church, Connersville. In his leisure time, he enjoyed traveling, woodworking, camping, spending winters in Florida, dirt bike riding, and especially spending time with his family.
Besides his wife of 48 years, Reva Sue Adams, survivors include two sons, Larry “Scott” Adams and wife Teresa, and Vince Adams and wife Dottie, all of Connersville; three step-sons, Bob (Nancy) Cloyd, Donald (Pat) Cloyd and Richard (Debbie) Cloyd, all of Connersville; two grandchildren, Dustin (Crystal) Adams and Steve (Katie) Adams; thirteen step-grandchildren, Jason (Audrey) Cloyd, Travis (Kristin) Cloyd, Benji (Laura) Cloyd, Steve Cloyd (companion, Loree), Jon Cloyd (companion, Tara), Chris (Elisha) Cloyd, Justin Cloyd (companion, Lindsey),Joey (Brittany) Cloyd, Nichole (Bub) Davis, Stephanie Cloyd, Tracey Atchley, Tara (Scott) Kruger, and Samantha (Adam) Osborn; four great-grandchildren; twelve step-great-grandchildren and one on the way; a sister, Ellen Jean Kelley, of Connersville; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Wayne Adams; and sister-in-law, Mary Hopper.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on, Thursday, August 8, 2019, at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home. Reverend Bobby Lee and Reverend Larry Horn will officiate. Burial will follow in Dale Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 8, 2019, at the funeral home.
