Lois Jean Matherly, 75, of Connersville passed away Saturday morning, April 20, 2019, at her residence.
One of four children of Herman and Ruby Ervin Hobbs, Lois was born in Connersville on June 3, 1943.
On November 7, 1977, Lois married Warren C. “Pops” Matherly. Mr. Matherly passed away on May 19, 2010.
For several years, Lois owned and operated Pampered Pooch Dog Salon. In her leisure time, she enjoyed collecting antiques.
Survivors include three sons, Howard L. (Ann) King of Lake Mary, Florida, Richard R. (Christina) King, and Dirk S. King, all of Connersville; a step-son, Richard (Susie) Matherly of Alpharetta, Georgia; four grandchildren, Blake A. King of Connersville, Sarah E. King of Georgia, Wesley P. Keep of Florida, Morgan R. King of Connersville; two great-grandchildren, Paisley Grace of Florida and Layken Lynn of Ohio; three siblings, Darrell (Diane) Hobbs, Brenda (Harold) Smith, and Duane (Beverly) Hobbs, all of Connersville; and her pride and joys, Jasmine and Chloe.
Besides her husband of 32 years, Warren Matherly, Lois was preceded in death by her parents, and a son, Steven F. King on February 19, 1996.
The family extends their deepest appreciation and thanks to Roseanne Hobbs for the care she gave to Lois over the past several months.
A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
