Mary Ann Dykes, 77, of Connersville passed away Friday morning, March 1, 2019, at Majestic Care of Connersville.
One of six children of Jarvis and Vetrola Howard, Mary Ann was born in East Bernstadt, Kentucky on April 21, 1941, and made Connersville her home in 1966.
Mary Ann was a faithful and longtime member of 29th Street Church of God. She loved spending time with her family. An avid sports fan, Mary Ann enjoyed watching the Indiana Pacers, I.U. Basketball, and Indianapolis Colts.
Mary Ann was employed as a Central Service Technician at Fayette Memorial Hospital for 22 years, and Lincoln Centers for over ten years.
Survivors include a son, James R. Dykes of Connersville; three grandchildren, Jamie (Steven) Blackburn on Cincinnati, Ohio, Natitia Dykes of Richmond, Indiana, and Jameson Dykes of Connersville; three great-grandchildren, Chassady Schoettmer, Deidra and Andre Via; two sisters, Doris McCreary and Judy Merz, both of Connersville; a brother, Frank (Bonnie) Howard of Wallins, Kentucky; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mary Ann is preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Jeffrey Padgett; and two brothers, Bob and William Howard.
Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at noon on Thursday, March 7, 2019, at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Laurel North Cemetery.
