Philip William Schoettmer

November 27, 1959 ~ July 12, 2019 (age 59)

Philip William Schoettmer, 59, of Connersville passed away Friday morning, July 12, 2019, at his residence.

A life-long resident of Connersville, he was born November 27, 1959, one of four children of Tony and Mary Fisse Schoettmer.

For over 25 years, he was employed with Aramark Vending Services.

On October 27, 1980, he was married in St. Gabriel Church to Simone Taylor of Connersville.  Mrs. Schoettmer passed away on October 18, 2018.

A member of St. Gabriel Church, he had been a member of the AMVETS, American Legion and the Eagle Lodge.  He enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, shooting guns, and 4-wheel driving.  He loved to go to activities with his family, especially his granddaughter, Kenzie.

Survivors include his daughter, Tonya (Michael) Webber-Fowler, of Connersville; his granddaughter, Kenzie Webber-Fowler; his mother, Mary Schoettmer, of Connersville; his brother, Rick (Neva) Schoettmer, of Connersville; a nephew, Tony (Teresa) Schoettmer; a nieces,  Amanda Graves; a great-nephew, Chandler Graves and several cousins.

Besides his wife of 38 years, Simone Schoettmer, he is preceded in death by his father, Tony Schoettmer, a brother, Larry Schoettmer and an infant sister, Mary Ann Schoettmer.

Recitation of the Rosary will be at 10:30 AM with visitation to follow until the celebration of Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 PM on Monday, July 15, 2019, at St. Gabriel Church. Reverend John Luerman will officiate.  Burial will follow in Lick Creek Cemetery. Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
