Sharon Kay Patton, 79, of Connersville, passed away Monday morning, July 30, 2018 at Reid Health where she had been a patient since July 5, 2018.
She was born May 1, 1939 in Connersville, one of eleven children of Herman and Elsie Hill Bunch.
On August 9, 1969, she married Jason E. Patton, a native of Liberty, KY. Mr. Patton survives.
For several years, she was employed as a cook at the Fayette County Senior Citizen Center. She was also employed at MEG, of Cambridge City and for a number of years, she had done private duty house cleaning.
In her leisure, she enjoyed reading, listening to Country music, attending flea markets and garage sales.
Survivors besides her husband of 48 years, include two children, Debra J. (Douglas) Maze, of Murray, KY and Jason B. (Robin) Patton, of Westmoreland, TN; nine grandchildren, Nick Maze, Casey Maze, Caitlyn McCrory, Meghan Nichols, Lindsey Hildebrand, Kaitlyn Parker, Garrett Patton, Creighton Burns and Jaxon Patton; ten great-grandchildren; three sisters, Nedra (Max) Grant, of Brownsville, IN, Penny (John) Pyle, of Labelle, FL and Brenda (Mark) Sweney, of Connersville; a brother, Arthur (Debra) Bunch, of Connersville; a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Burns, who died October 2, 2016; her parents; two sisters, Shirley Fox and Carolyn Minnerick; four brothers, Robert Bunch, Paul Bunch, Lowell Bunch and Charles Bunch.
